Portfolio: Urban Exploring

Since 1987 I take pictures with a SLR (an old Petri) and later using a Pentax with a MF 50mm objective. Most b/w shots developed in a darkroom in the attic. After a period children shooting in 2009 'real' shooting started again with a Sony Alpha 300, later a A500 and a growing set of glassware.

End 2012 I purchased a full frame body (Canon 5D markII) with 17-40mm wide zoomlens and a 50mm F/1.4 prime.

It is primarily intended to open more quality in my landscapes. In the UK I ordered handmade Lee filters that should not lack any landscape photographer.
On my wish list are still some fine primes.

At home on my iMac I organize my raw photos into Lightroom 4 and sometimes I edit them in Photoshop.

In 2010 I followed an advanced course at the University of Utrecht by Edwin Westhoff (diagonal method). I hope my composition processes to develop (and less need photoshopping :-). In 2011 I followed a workshop 'Landscapes' by Bas Meelker. He taught me a lot about the planning and preparation in this branch. Next year I want more emphasis on urbex, architecture and landscapes (in HDR or DRI). I keep trying to improve my technique, develop a more artistic eye, in short, take better pictures.
